There's a big Earth Day fest happening in Balboa Park here today. Despite its educational and networking opportunities it seems totally contradictory to me given how many people will come from some distance away (in fossil fueled vehicles) to attend. AND . . . no matter how much attention is paid to reducing waste it is consuming resources that are non-renewable. I think it would be really neat to have an Earth Day Fest that the majority of participants ride bicycles or walk to with only the truly mobility impaired actually driving. There’s a big Earth Day fest happening in Balboa Park here today.
